Una història veritable neix de la fusió de el projecte «Alterhistory» (creat per David Trullo) i «Col·lecció Visible» (desenvolupat per Pablo Pentinat amb l'Associació Cultural Visible). Són dones i homes que van decidir retratar-junts en algun moment de les seves vides. Però no sabem res d'ells, no sabem si eren amics, si eren amants o parella. El que sí sabem és que al segle XIX (també abans és clar) va haver-hi parelles de el mateix sexe, parelles de gais i de lesbianes, que mai van poder fotografiar-se junts per diferents motius. D'una banda hi ha les obres creades per David Trullo, imatges retocades per mostrar més properes a les dues persones de la foto, a algunes d'elles fins i tot les ha casat. Aquest projecte es va anomenar «Alterhistory». A partir 1 seleccióde fotografies antigues de la «Col·lecció Visible» i de «Alterhistory» hem recreat la realitat. Així va néixer Una història verdadera, un projecte que vol enderrocar les barreres entre la realitat i la ficció. A Espanya tot just disposem d'imatges reals i documentades de parelles de el mateix sexe. Però això no ens impedeix mostrar la veritat amb l'objectiu de fer-la més real i més veritable ... Una història veritable ( 'A True History') brings together the Alterhistory project (created by artist David Trullo) and the Visible Collection (developed by Pau Peinado from the Visible Cultural Association). Here are men and women who decided to have their portrait taken at some point in their lives. But we know nothing about them: were they friends, lovers, partners? We do know that in the 19th Century (and, of course, before) there were gai and lesbian couples that for a number of reasons never had a photograph taken together. Trull s works in Alterhistory are Manipulated images from that period, where gai couples even get married. Both projects merge to Recreate reality. In Spain we have very few real and documented images of samesex couples, but that does not stop us from telling it like it is.
